A function that must be performed but that needs to be performed by only one processing unit. Level functions include backing up the control data sets (CDSs), backing up migrated data sets, deleting expired dump copies, moving backup versions from level 1 volumes to backup volumes, migration cleanup, and level-1-to-level-2 migration.
