internal water circulation
The conceptual hydrological cycle for a specified continental surface that comprises water evaporating from the surface, condensing in the overlying atmosphere, and falling back to the surface. In reality, some of the evaporated water leaves the region in the wind and is replaced with water vapor brought into the region by wind.
