The health care needs of a patient related to drug therapy for which the pharmaceutical care practitioner can offer professional assistance

Includes (1) the appropriate use of the medication for each medical condition; (2) the most effective product for each indication; (3) the safest drug regimen possible and; (4) the willingness and ability of the patient to comply with the instructions for taking a medication.
