de-facto forces (DFF)

Unofficial armed groups; paramilitary organizations or independent partisan groups which disown any allegiance to host governments and have no legal or officially recognized status, are commonly called de-facto forces; in UNIFIL, the term refers to Christian and associated militias supported and supplied by Israel.
