The Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees has an area of approximate 138,000 hectares that is located in the region of Cerdanya, Capcir and Haut-Conflent in the territories of the Pyrenees Orientale. This is the first French regional National Park of the Sierra Pyrenees and the park has seven natural reserves and is the home of 21,000 inhabitants.

The park has another few parts that consist of 12 ski resorts and 2 spas that are accessible, this is because of rail transversal network that crosses along the park traveling from Vllefranclae-de-Conflent to Latour-de-Carol. The park is so rich with features of mountains of Eastern Pyrenees and both flora and fauna that are features of Mediterranean climate.
