Mafikizolo is a South African Afropop band. Nhlanhla Nciza is the female lead singer and Theo Kgosinkwe is the male artist. The pair met at talent competitions in Western Johannesburg and decided to form a group. Their music is heavily influenced by kwaito styles. In addition, as only the best musicians can, Mafikizolo touches on relevant social issues in their music such as poverty and the importance of education. In their career, they have won numerous South African Music Awards and have even met Nelson Mandela.
